Orientation & Policies

Private Lesson Orientation Sheet

Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures:

  • Parents may drop off students for the scheduled lesson time only. (Unless you have purchased the Platinum Package which allows the student to have full access to any rehearsal room that is not occupied.)
  • Please be punctual (arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled lesson).
  • Keep in mind that you are paying for your scheduled time slot, so if you arrive late, you will not get a full lesson.

Waiting Area Policies:

  • Parents, siblings, or anyone accompanying a student may wait in the waiting room area, but please do not enter the lesson room. (Feel free to observe through classroom windows.)
  • Students 10 years and under MUST be accompanied by an adult in the waiting room.
  • Students may not wait in the lesson rooms. They may only be in the lesson rooms during their scheduled lesson time.
  • Please be respectful of the waiting area / facilities (i.e. no running, climbing on furniture, etc.)

  • Monthly tuition invoices are sent out on the 20th of each month.
  • Tuition is due on or before the 1st of each month.
  • We require a credit card on file and encourage payment by credit card.  Credit cards will be processed on the 1st.
  • If you prefer to pay via cash or check, it may be sent in the mail.  However, if tuition is not received by the 1st of the month, the card on file will be charged.
  • There is a one-time registration fee of $50 per family due at or before the student’s first lesson.
  • We offer a 10% discount for families taking 3 or more private lessons per month.
  • Books and Materials are purchased by the student.
  • A written 30-day notice is required when stopping or suspending lessons.
  • If you want to suspend lessons, you will be subject to the registration fee when you resume lessons, any increase in tuition, and we cannot guarantee the same time or teacher.
  • We encourage students to take lessons year round.

Make-Up Lessons:

  • Please check our website at www.promusicacademy.com for our holidays and dates we are closed.  We observe Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving week, and two weeks at Christmas.
  • If your music mentor is unable to teach the lesson, one of our other excellent Pro Music Academy instructor will substitute for that lesson.
  • If music instructor is unavailable and a substitute cannot be secured, the lesson will be made up.
  • If the student cancels a lesson during the school year, the lesson will not be made up.
  • If the lesson is cancelled due to weather, you will receive email notification and the lesson will be rescheduled.
  • When a lesson falls on a fifth week of the month, the student receives that lesson free of charge.  This allows students to average four lessons a month over the course of a year.

  • Email is the primary source of communication, so please make sure you check it regularly.
  • If canceling a lesson, please call (615) 200-0604 or email chadchapin@promusicacademy.com.
